MULTAN: A father and son died on Sunday after being hit by a vehicle owned by the former lawmaker Rana Shaukat Noon near Pull Bulail in Multan.

According to police, the deceased Jang Bahadur and Muhammad Farooq were on their way to Jalalpur tehsil when the motorbike they were riding had a head-on collision with a car near Pull Bulail.

The former MNA was also present in the car, which was being driven by the driver at the time of collision. Both father and son died on the spot.

The police claimed that relatives of the deceased, terming it an unfortunate accident, did not take any action.

However, a demonstration was held against the police for not registering case against the accused.

No contact could be established with the former MNA so far.
