ISLAMABAD: Advisor to Prime Minister on Interior A. Rehman Malik took notice of firing incident took place on Sunday afternoon in Chaman, which claimed life of an Imam and left another person injured. Rehman Malik ordered police and concerned authorities to probe into the incident and take action against the people involved in the crime. He said the government is committed to curb terrorism and added that no one would be allowed to disrupt peace of the country.

KARACHI:The Board of Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE), and the Economic Advisory Committee Sunday agreed to continue close interaction to ensure that capital markets in Pakistan flourish and play their due role in the economy. The KSE Board met with the EAC here to discuss the Capital Market policy, said a statement issued here.During the meeting, the EAC called for the important role of Capital Market and Stock exchanges in mobilizing real capital formation and economic growth. In this context, several proposals with the view to develop market volumes and liquidity were also came under discussion. The EAC recognised the contribution made by the Capital Markets for government resource mobilization. In this context, it was agreed that a long-term policy and a road-map needs to be developed by consensus. The positive discussions were also held on the issue about Capital Gain Tax.
