SANTANDER: A Spain side featuring Liverpool striker Fernando Torres struggled to a 1-0 win over the USA in their final Euro 2008 warm-up match in Santander. It took Luis Aragones’’s team 78 minutes to break the deadlock, with Xavi Hernandez finishing beyond Brad Guzan. Torres played despite having been troubled with an ankle injury and missed a great first-half chance. Spain sorely missed the injured David Villa and playmaker Andres Iniesta, who was absent because of food poisoning.
