KARACHI: The department of livestock has decided to launch a campaign against sale of spurious and substandard medicines and vaccination used for the animals and poultry.A full-fledge campaign, led by the Chief Drug Inspector of the department, will be started from 16 June for the eradication of spurious medicines and vaccination.The decision to this effect was taken in a meeting, which was held here presided by Secretary Livestock and Fisheries government of Sindh Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui.Director General Livestock and Fisheries Ghulam Muhammad Mahar, Director Poultry Vaccine Centre Karachi Mrs Shafquat Fatima, Director Poultry Sindh Karachi Chief Drug Inspector A. Ab Memon among others were present in the meeting.All those involved in the said illegal and immoral practice were warned to desist and mend their ways to avoid legal action.Its pertinent to mention here that for the first time the department of livestock is going to launch campaign against sale of the substandard medicines and vaccination.The spurious drugs and substandard vaccines cause breeding problems in animals and poultry and promote multiple diseases.

MANAMA: Early pace-setters Bahrain will be looking to cement their place in the fourth round of Asia World Cup qualifiers with a match to spare when they take on Oman at the National Stadium on Saturday.
