PESHAWAR: Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Friday here announced holding ceremony of the 5th Businessmen of the Year Gold Medal and Export Trophy awards for the year 2005-06 on August 02. Chairman Export Trophy Award Committee Zahid Ullah Shinwari while briefing the journalists about the event informed that Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani would be invited to grace the function. He said that the interested exporters could apply for the same by June 30 while scrutiny of the applicants would be held on July 07, 2008. Shinwari who head the Export Trophy Award Committee said Shahid Munir, Zahid Arif and Malik Iftikhar Ahmad are Vice-Chairmen. Members of the committee are former President of the SCCI Ghazanfar Bilour, Liaqat Ahmad Khan, Sohail Hashmat, Usman Bashir Bilour, Sharifat Ali Mubarak, Kamran Shafi, Muhammad Irshad Siddiqi. He said in its first category, ten gold medals would be given to businessmen of the year gold medals. Mr. Shinwari said that these awards would be given to top investor, exporter, importer, top sales tax payers and top income tax payer of the province. Likewise, he said that trophies would be given to exporters in industrial and trading, women entrepreneurs, banking, SCCI Airline of the province (Cargo Sector), best forwarding agent of the province, top software exporters. President of the SCCI Haji Muhammad Asif, Senior Vice President Inayat Khan, Vice President Muhammad Nawaz Khan and other members of the chamber were also present on the occasion.
