It is need of the hour that the huge amount of money being spent on animal breeding projects including artificial insemination and training of the growers in the province should be utilised properly. The benefits of the said projects should be passed on to the poor and needy with a view to upgrade their life standard and alleviate poverty by creating new vistas of job opportunities, Haq said. Sindh Minister said special attention was being given to development of the livestock sector as the majority of the people in the country in general live in rural areas, who in particular depend on the agriculture and livestock as their source of earning. “Not only we should endeavour to be self sufficient in milk and meat production but we should go an extra mile to export livestock products in international market, ” the Minister said.
