Asia Cup begins today

LAHORE: Asia Cup cricket tournament would be kicked off from today (Tuesday).Two matches would be played on the inaugural day. In Group A, Pakistan will play against Hong Kong at National Stadium whereas Bangladesh would face United Arab Emirates in Group B at Gaddafi Stadium. Six teams participating in the tournament divided into two groups. Group A comprised of Pakistan, India and Hong Kong.Bangladesh, United Emirates and Sri Lanka included in Group B. All matches would be played day-night. Sri Lanka would defend its title.

Slain Tori tribesmen laid to rest

KURRAM AGENCY: Twelve tribesmen of Tori tribe have been laid to rest on Tuesday.These tribesmen were kidnapped and killed in Sada area of Kurram Agency after being tortured.Leader of Tori tribe Ali Akbar Tori told Geo News that these persons laid to rest in different areas after offering funeral prayers. He said that if government could not take the swift action than Tori tribe would take the action on its own.Meanwhile, spokesman of trade union Haji Rauf said that all markets would remained closed today in Parachinar to mourn the killings of Tori tribesmen.
