Five injured in DIK suicide blast

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Five persons received minor injuries when a suicide bomber blew himself up near New Chaungi Dera-Bannu Road close to the venue of ”Shuada-e-Islam Conference” here on Sunday evening. The bomber detonated himself up few minutes after the conclusion of day-long conference held at Kotli Imam Hussain where people from various cities were gathered in large number to raise voice against terrorist activities of extremists in the area, police sources said. Hospital sources confirmed the names of injured persons included Lal Hussain, Riaz Hussain, Tariq Mehmood, Khalil Ahmad and Muhammad Bilal. They said all are in stable condition. According to details, the bomber was on his way to the venue of the conference but due to tight security he could not managed to reach there and instead blasted himself up amongst the people returning from the conference far from the conference venue. Their companions rushed the injured to the District hospital soon after the blast.

KHAIRPUR: Two persons died and three others were injured in a road accident near Sibi on Sunday. According to details, a pickup loaded with mangoes was going to Quetta from Khairpur when if fell into roadside ditch near Sibi dueto over speeding. Resultantly, two mango traders of Khairpur, Sajan Ali Solangiand Fayyaz Ali Solangi, died while other three Zahid Ali, Papo, and Amanullah Solangi were injured. The bodies were brought to their native village Gagrri near Khairpur while injured were admitted in Sibi hospital, where the condition of Zahid Solangi was stated to be critical.
