KARACHI: The dacoits shod dead a person and injured his daughter in Orangi Town area of Karachi.Police sources said that dacoits killed a man who resisted them while they were trying to plunder after entering into the house in Ghazi Goth area. His daughter was injured during the incident. Police have registered the case.

KARACHI: Police have recovered two mortar shells from Shershah’’s Jahanabad area in Karachi late Tuesday. While one of the mortars was already dead, the bomb disposal squad defused the other one.According to police sources, the residents of Jahanabad spotted the mortars in a sewerage line near a junkyard and informed the Pak Colony Police. The police rushed to the spot along with the bomb disposal squad which defused one of the mortars while the other one was already dead. Police said each of the locally made mortars weighs two kilogram and cannot be detonated automatically.

ISLAMABAD: Meteorological Department forecast dry weather in most parts of the country during next 24 hours. According to met office expected temperatures during next 24 hours would be Islamabad 34 C, Lahore 35 C, Karachi 37 C, Peshawar 37, Quetta 30 C, Muzaffarabad 36 C,Gilgit 29 C and Skardu 24 C. The highest maximum temperature was recorded 40 C in Turbat.
