PESHAWAR: At least five policemen were injured Monday while their mobile vehicle was partially damaged in a remote controlled bomb ambush in Thana Mandi area of lower Dir.According to police sources, SHO of lower Dir Manda Police Muhammad Iqbal was on routine patrolling with his subordinates as the caravan came under remote controlled bomb explosion.Resultantly, three gunners, a constable including SHO received minor injuries who then shifted to hospital for medical attainment.

PESHAWAR: Military operation is also feared in Darra Adam Khel town of the NWFP while locals said that the number of troops in the area has been increased after a clash between the Taliban and security forces.Local sources said that Taliban militants attacked a temporary camp of the security forces with heavy artillery. The forces retaliated killing three militants. The sources added that two rooms of the camp were damaged in the Taliban attack. Pointing out a troop build-up in Darra, the locals feared that security forces might launch a massive military operation any time today.
