SWAT: Curfew in Swat district has been lifted due to Eid-ul-Fitr while electricity is being supplied to Mingora city at regular intervals. However, but major part of the district is still plunged into darkness.According to the ISPR, curfew has been lifted all over the district on the occasion of Eid while defunct organization has also declared one-sided ceasefire till the third day of the Eid, provided there would be no operation from other side.Meanwhile, the supply of electricity could still not be restored.According to PESCO sources, 15 feeders of Mingora city are being supplied electricity at regular intervals. However, the Khwarzakhela grid station is being temporarily provided electricity from district Shangla while the 1.5 million population of the district is facing difficulties due to non-availability of electricity.Meanwhile, gas has also not been restored throughout the district.The supply of electricity and gas to all over the district was suspended after the militants destroyed the Amankot grid station and the Bilogram gas plant through explosive material.
