Severe earthquake tremors in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujar Khan, Jhelum

ISLAMABAD: Severe earthquake tremors have been felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujar Khan and Jhelum today.According to Met Office Peshawar, intensity of earthquake was recorded at rector scale as 6.5.Chief metreologist Met Office Peshawar Mohammad Rafiq told that the centre of the earthquake was in an area of Kirghizistan some 650 km away in the north of Peshawar.

Karachi Dolphins reach semi-finals in T20 Cup

LAHORE: Karachi Dolphins have qualified for the semi-finals in the National Twenty20 Cup when they defeated Faisalabad Lovers here at the Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday.Batting first, Karachi Dolphins were all out for 155 with Khurram Manzoor (34) and Shahid Afridi (28) being the top-scorers while Saeed Ajmal captured three wickets.In reply, Faisalabad Lovers could make 147 runs while Mohammad Salman (48) and Misbah-ul-Haq (46) were the main scorers.In the other match played at the LCCA Ground, Rawalpindi Rams defeated Quetta Bears by 75 runs.Rawalpindi Rams, batting first, made 142 runs with Yasir Arafat top scored with 35 runs while Nasim Khan and Gohar claimed three wickets each.Chasing the 143 runs target, Quetta Bears could score only 67 runs. Suhail Tanvir and Yasir Arafat captured three wickets each.
