ADB to provide $116.9 m loan to China

BEIJING: Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide a loan of $116.9 million to stop wastage of energy and its better utilization in China.This has been said in an announcement issued from the ADB Beijing that a limited guarantee would be given to the programme for saving of energy and better utilization through the proposed amount.The project will promote the construction of green buildings in China.The Standard Chartered Bank has been selected as the first financial institution and the Johnson Control as the first technology company for investment in the project.China is the second biggest country in the world to utilize energy and 20 to 40 per cent electricity is wasted here.
