DRESDEN: Pakistan are standing on the 98th position at the end of fourth round of ongoing 38th World Chess Olympiad (WCO) in Germany.Pakistan drew by 4-4 to South Africa in the fourth round of the event wherein Khalil-Ur-Rehman defeated African Coudri Daniel while Solomon Calini beat Aamir Kareem.Earlier in other match, Force Island beat Pakistan by 1.5-5 points.

150 mln cubic fit gas short due to intense winter in NWFP

PESHAWAR: 150 million cubic fit gas has been short in NWFP province due to increase in the intensity of winter season here on Tuesday.In the first stage, the gas outage has started in CAPTO Power and other big industries.According to Sui Northern Company sources, it has seized the gas supply to big industries due to gas impasse to avoid any disruption in gas supply to commercial and domestic consumers.It added that notices have been sent to as many as 3000 countrywide industries of cutting gas supply to them.
