Khanani, Kalia given under FIA custody until Dec. 1

KARACHI: Javed Khanani and Munaf Kalia under arrest in the financial scandal have been given in the custody of FIA until December 1.Both the under arrest accused Wednesday were presented in the City Court here. FIA told the court that one of the accused, an IT expert, was in fact helping FIA in the de-coding of computer and therefore, demanded the accused be given on remand for 11 days, but the court allowed Munaf Kalia and Javed Khanani be given in FIA custody until December 1. On the other hand, the court also allowed both the under arrest accused meeting their relations.

1219 dengue patients hospitalised in Punjab

LAHORE: As many as 1219 dengue patients have been reported on Tuesday across the province while the number has started to drop slightly.A spokesman of the Punjab Health Department told Geo News 1149 dengue patients have been brought to various hospitals in Lahore on Tuesday. The spokesman said a total of 76 patients of dengue fever are still under treatment at different hospitals.He further stated that Institute of Public Health Laboratory has confirmed 99 cases of dengue virus during the last three days. He said so far 1149 patients of dengue fever had been reported in Lahore while total of 1219 such patients had been reported in the province.
