Lahore-Islamabad motorways shut due to mist

LAHORE: The Lahore-Islamabad motorways has been shut for traffic as the fog here continued to become thicker all day and night which has extended difficulties for the people extensively.According to motorways police sources, the authorities had to close Lahore-Islamabad motorways due to thick fog during Friday and Saturday night.Sources added that fog was so thick that noting could be seen by a meter distance.

Heavy mist overwhelms Lahore

LAHORE: Traffic and other life engagements have been affected substantially as heavy fog has appeared in Lahore and other areas of Punjab on Friday.Fog started to appear on early Friday and continued to become thick as the day progressed. According to met office, the fog would gain rather thickness during the night and warned the traffic against keeping their head and back lights on to avoid any mishaps on Saturday morning due to fog.Mist has also affected the domestic and international flights from Lahore while railway officials said that trains bound to Lahore are arriving late.
