LAHORE: Furniture, worth of million rupees, was burnt to aches as a furniture-making factory caught fire in Chahmeran area in Lahore on Saturday.According to details, fire, erupted due to short circuit, soon engulfed three-storied building but no loss of life was reported in the incident.Blazes were soon brought under control as rescue 1122 teams and fire brigade workers soon arrived on the spot after the incident, fire fighting sources said.Witnesses said, two roofs of building collapsed due to gigantic fire crushing million rupees furniture under them but no loss of life was reported.

LAHORE: Punjab Industrial State (PIS) on Saturday finalized plans for setting up industrial zones in various big cities in Punjab.This was revealed by Chairman PIS Muhammad Ali Mian while talking to Geo News at Lahore head office. He told 670 industries, located at the 1600 acres in Sunder Industrial State in Punjab, enjoy the facilities like electricity, water, gas, drainage and treatment plants under one window operation system.Muhammad Ali said the sites for new industrial zones were proposed in Sahiwal, Narowal, Gujranwala, Wazirabad, Bahawalpur, Chakri Jehlum cities in order for provision of livelihood to local people while he added that government primarily pays attention to the growth in live stock, food, and milk industries as it will help bring farmers and villages prosperity.

KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) witnessed five percent increase in CFS financing investment this week. KARACHI: Bullish trend continued in Karachi Stock Exchange as KSE-100 index was closed near 6000 points at the end of trading week on Saturday.Trading at market started optimistic this week while four following days witnessed continuous upbeat. This week KSE-100 index crossed 6000 points and once it touched 6100 position. But at last trading session of week, profit taking brought 100 index at downbeat.
