One perish, another injured in Karachi shooting

KARACHI: A political activist was killed and another sustained injuries in separate firing incidents in Karachi late on Friday, Geo news reported.According to police, unknown armed gunmen, riding motorcycle, opened fire on a person sitting outside his home, killing the poor victim on the spot who was later identified as Babar Rasheed (30). In another incident of street crime, Aamir (28) was shot injured by unknown culprits in Kharadar locality who was shifted to Civil Hospital for medical aid, sources said.Many more shooting incidents were also reported in Gulistan-e-Johar, Korangi, Shah Faisal colony, Malir and Sohrab Goath localities late on Friday, sources maintained.

Two minors killed in Ziarat camps fire

ZIARAT: At least two minor children were burnt to death due to fire that broke out in the four camps of Balochistan earthquake effectees here on Friday, Geo news reported.According to sources, 40 kilometers from Ziarat, some family members of Balochistan quake effectees were cooking meal when their camps caught fire which engulfed four camps in no time, killing two minor children in the incident.The children were identified as Alamgir and Memona while local people brought fire under control on their own, sources said.
