LAHORE: The two-hour-long rescue efforts from firefighting workers brought under control the fire which broke out in a plastic manufacturing factory located in Shafiqabad locality of Lahore on Saturday but in a meantime, it had engulfed the material worth of millions of rupees while a worker also sustained burnt injuries, Geo news reported.According to rescue sources, the fire erupted due to a gas cylinder blast which turned inferno in no time, engulfing entire factor besides three close by located houses.As many as 17 fire tenders of rescue 1122 brought fire under control after two hours of continuous rescue efforts, sources added.The injured, later identified as Muhammad Saleem, was shifted to hospital for medical treatment, sources maintained.
