COLOMBO: Sri Lankan all-rounder Farveez Maharoof?s marriage took place here on Saturday and a large number of players including Sri Lankan and Pakistani cricketers attended the wedding ceremony.
Muhammad Farveez Maharoof ?s marriage ceremony was held at a local hotel in Colombo.
Those attended the wedding ceremony included the officials of the Sri Lankan cricket board, cricketers, former cricketers, friends and relatives.
Former captain of Sri Lankan cricket team Mahela Jayawardene also attended the ceremony.
Among Pakistani cricketers, Mohammad Yousuf, Umar Gul, Abdul Razzaq were present at the ceremony.
Maharoof is being considered a talented cricketer of Sri Lanka and he has achieved various successes for his team.

KARACHI: Farooq Sattar, Minister for overseas Pakistanis and Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader in the National Assembly Saturday said Karachi serves as the economic engine of the country and it should not be allowed to slip into red-tapism.
Addressing the annual dinner of Citizen Police License Committee (CPLC) here, Farooq said Taliban, extremist and land mafia are running rackets in the city with aim at destabilizing the city; but, this situation is unacceptable.
He said like land reforms and Fata Reforms, madaris (seminaries) need to be reformed.

KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza Saturday said the repatriation process of IDPs of Malakand division in Sindh will begin in the next three to four days.
He said this while addressing a press conference after a meeting of the committee over looking the repatriation of the IDPs from Karachi.
Provincial Minister for Labour, Amir Nawab chaired the meeting.
Dr. Mirza said around 50,000 displaced of Malakand had come to Sindh, majority of whom stayed in Karachi.
The cost on their repatriation has been estimated at Rs100 million. Two offices for making arrangements for their return have been set up - one at Habib Bank in Karachi west and the other in Landhi.
