Isolated thundershower expected till Sunday morning

ISLAMABAD: Meteorological Department Saturday forecast isolated thundershowers in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala divisions till Sunday morning. However, mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of Punjab during next few days.

According to meteorological analysis weak southwesterly currents are reaching northeastern parts of the country. Season allow lies over Balochistan with its trough extending northeast wards.

In Kashmir and Northern Areas, isolated thundershowers is expected during next 24 hours.

In NWFP, Balochistan and Sindh, mainly hot and dry weather is expected in NWFP during next few days.

Maximum temperature recorded in different cities was Islamabad36, Lahore 35 (C), Karachi 32 , Peshawar 38, Quetta 38, Muzaffarabad37 and Murree 23 (C).

The rainfall recorded during last 24 hours was Jassar 33, Dhokpathan 20, Islamabad (Saidpur 16, Zero point 03, Golra Airport 01 each), Mangla Kund 08 (each), Marala, Dratian Rawalakot 06 (each), Ravi Syphon Kotli 03(each), Kallar, Marala Kakul 02 (each), Kotli Alexandra Bridge 01(each).

WC secretariat?s moving: Hearing adjourned until September 3

LAHORE: A court here today has adjourned hearing until September 3 in the case of shifting of the secretariat of the Cricket World Cup 2011 to India.

PCB legal adviser Tafazzul Rizvi requested to the court of civil judge Khizr Hayat Minhas to postpone the hearing on which the court adjourned the hearing of the case until September 3 and also extended the stay order in this regard.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had launched a legal fight against the re-location and won a stay order against moving the World Cup secretariat from Lahore to arch rival India’’s Mumbai.
