KARACHI: Senator Raza Rabbani, the central leader of Pakistan People?s Party (PPP) said that the hoarding mafia took birth during the tenure of the former president Shaukat Aziz; however he warned the hoarders that ?public Raj? will wipe them out, if they continue their way.
Talking to party activists on the occasion of an Eid Milan party, Raza Rabbani expressed these views Tuesday in People?s Secretariat, Karachi.
?The democratic government can handle the hoarders and it wants to solve the problems faced by the public.?
PPP is a party of poor and labourers, but conspiracies are being hatched against the present government, he added.
The Senator said on the festive occasion of Eid we should not forget the poor and needy people, particularly the affectees of Swat and Malakand.

JOHANNESBURG: South Africa?s government received support on Sunday for its demand that the country?s top athletics official be axed after he admitted lying about gender tests conducted on 800-meter world champion Caster Semenya.
Athletics South Africa president Leonard Chuene apologized Saturday, saying he had lied to protect the 18-year-old?s privacy.
The sports ministry called on the ASA to fire Chuene.
?If they fail to do so, they run the risk of being led by a liar,? Gert Oosthuizen, the deputy sports minister, said in a statement.
For once, the country?s main opposition was in agreement.
Democratic Alliance spokesman Donald Lee said Chuene had damaged South Africa?s image.
?Mr. Chuene?s immediate dismissal is the very least that needs to happen,? he said in a statement.
Chuene was not immediately available for comment.
Semenya won the 800 at the world championships in Berlin in 1 minute, 55.45 seconds on Aug. 19, finishing 2.45 seconds ahead of her closest competitor in the fastest time at the distance this year.
Hours before the final, the International Association of Athletics Federations announced it had ordered tests done on the runner. It said questions had been raised about her muscular physique, running style and recent stunning improvement in times.
The IAAF has refused to confirm or deny Australian media reports earlier this month that Semenya has both male and female characteristics, saying it is reviewing test results and will issue a decision in November on whether the athlete will be allowed to continue to compete in women?s events.
Chuene had repeatedly said tests were only done abroad, not in South Africa.
However, on Saturday he said he knew of tests conducted on Semenya at a Pretoria hospital on Aug. 7. He said his constant denials were an ?error of judgment,? but insisted he would not resign.
Oosthuizen said his ministry had been shocked by Chuene?s admissions and that his actions were unacceptable.

CENTURION: Sri Lanka won the rain-affected Group B match on the Duckworth-Lewis method defeating South Africa by 55 runs in the opening match of the 2009 Champions Trophy here at SuperSport Park on Tuesday.
Chasing a Sri Lanka total of 319-8, South Africa reached 206-7 in 37.4 overs when rain stopped play.
As no more play is possible there the match was decided under D L method in Sri Lanka?s favour.
Captain Graeme Smith made 58 and Jacques Kallis scored 41 for South Africa while Ajantha Mendis captured three and Lasith Malinga and Angeelo Mathews took two wickets each.
Earlier, opener Tillakaratne Dilshan struck 106 runs as Sri Lanka made 319-8.
Dilshan hit 16 fours and one six in a 92-ball innings and his second-wicket partnership with captain Kumar Sangakkara reaped 158 runs on a slow, even-bounce pitch.
Dilshan finally departed off the first ball of the 29th over, caught at the boundary by Albie Morkel off the bowling of right-arm speedster Dale Steyn on a warm Highveld afternoon.
It was the third ODI century for the 2009 ICC Cricketer of the Year and Test Player of the Year nominee, whose career-best 137 came against Pakistan in
Lahore this year.
Wicketkeeper Sangakkara had departed two overs before Dilshan, caught and bowled by JP Duminy for 54 when he played too early on the leg side and got a leading edge.
The exploits of Dilshan and Sangakkara followed the early, cheap departure of the grand old man of Sri Lankan cricket, 40-year-old Sanath Jayasuriya, for 10 when trapped leg before by Steyn.
Mahela Jayawardene and Thilan Samaraweera proved a further thorn in South African flesh, adding 116 runs off 106 runs for the fourth wicket before they departed from consecutive Wayne Parnell deliveries.
