OKARA: Former Jamaat Islami (JI) Amer Qazi Hussan Ahmed Saturday said the beneficiaries of National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) would have to quit the country or go for bail before arrest.
Addressing a press conference here, he said Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is the reason for the NRO not being tabled in the Parliament, it is a good thing.
He continued that the government ally based in London is so important that at his bidding, Pakistan People?s Party (PPP) and the MQM are holding negotiations abroad.
Qazi Hussan said if the government severs ties with the US, the situation will return to normalcy.
This is truth the Pak Army clinched victory in operation in Waziristan, now, it is needed that people?s hearts be won, he added.

GILGIT: Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) leader Marvi Memon Saturday said all other parties except her party entered Gilgit-Baltistan like parachute and would flee the area soon after the elections like paraglider.
Addressing a public gathering in Dinour, she urged the ruling party to refrain from rigging in the elections in Gilgit-Baltistan, or PML-Q would raise voice in and outside the Parliament.
Senator Wasim Sajjad said the PML-Q made possible the construction of Sadpara Dam, the establishment of Karakoram University and mobile phone service in Gilgit-Baltistan.

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik Saturday said airing of grievances by Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) does not mean that things would lead to disintegration of the alliance.
Talking to media here, Rehman Malik dispelled the impression of having any deadlock with MQM.
He said 43 foreigners including Yemeni citizens having links with Al-Qaeda have been apprehended.

QUETTA: Fifteen people were wounded including 4 FC personnel in grenade attack at Meezan Chowk near Liaquat Bazar which here on Saturday.
According to police, unknown persons hurled a hand grenade at Meezan Chowk which blew up with a blast injuring FC men who were on duty besides 11 others, including 3 children. The attackers fled after the blast.
The injured were shifted to Civil Hospital where condition of children is said to be serious.
The police and other law enforcing agencies surrounded the area after the incident.
