RAWALPINDI: Seven terrorists have been killed while 4 soldiers were injured in the ongoing operation Rah-e-Nijat during the last 24 hours.
According to ISPR, security forces cleared area around Madike located 2 kilometers north east of Ahmed Wam and also secured important height point 1663 at Parmonkai Roghzai on Jandola ? Sararogha Axis.
Three soldiers were injured during encounter with terrorists at Ahmed Wam area.
Security forces are consolidating their positions and conducting search operations on Shakai ? Kaniguram Axis.
The important feature of Takrai Sar located 1 kilometer south of Marobi Raghza and 3 kilometers north east of Ladha has been secured. During clashes, 4 terrorists have been killed.
During search of terrorist commander Dr Nasrullah?s house at Khaisura, lot of propaganda CDs, Maps, passports and miscellaneous photos have been recovered.
Village Bangle Khel, Sultano, Narakai and Tutai Langar Khel have been completely sanitized after recovery of large quantity of arms and ammunition.
Security forces are securing areas south and east of Makeen and have established contact with forces moving on Ladha - Kaniguram axis.
The important road from Makeen to Lattaka Narai east of Makeen has been secured. During clashes, 1 soldier got injured while 3 terrorists have been killed.
In Ghariom ? Mir Khoni sector, security forces are consolidating their positions and advancing further. During clearance operation, 6 IEDs were defused.
During the ongoing operation Rah-e-Rast in Swat-Malakand, security forces apprehended 4 suspects at Goranai and Tiligram.
Two terrorists voluntarily surrendered to security forces at Bodigram and Kabbal.

SKARDU: The official results of Gilgit-Baltistan legislative assembly have started to pour in as re-counting of votes is being undertaken for three constituencies.
Returning officer in Skardu and Civil Judge Nazeem Nasir and Civil Judge Muhammad Sharif have officially announced the names of the winning candidates in Skardu.
According to these results, Syed Mehdi Shah of Pakistan People?s Party won LA-7 Skardu 1; PPP?s Shaikh Nisar clinched the slot of LA-8 Skardu 2; PPP?s Wazir Shakil Ahmed emerged victorious on LA-9 Skardu 3; PPP?s Syed Muhammad Ali Shah won LA-11 Skardu 5 and; Muttahida Qaumi Movement?s Raja Muhammad Afzal declared winner on LA-12 Skardu 6.
Muhammad Jafar, candidate of PPP has officially been declared successful on LA-22 Ganche 1 and; PPP?s Muhammad Ismail on LA-24 Ganche 3.
Recounting of votes is underway for LA-10 Skardu 4 and LA-23 Ganche 2 on the request of candidates.
Janbaz Khan of Pakistan Muslim League-N has officially won LA-16 in Diamir district. Recounting of votes is also in progress on LA-21 in Ghazar district.
Meanwhile, so far unofficial results of 21 seats have come out. According to these; PPP has bagged 11 seats; PML-N 2 seats; PML-Q 2; JUI and MQM 1 each and; 4 seats have gone to independent candidates.
Results of Diamir 17 and Gilgit 3 have been withheld due to riots while polls did not take place on LA-19 Ghazar 1 due to the death of a candidate.

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani visited Ladha and Sararogha in South Waziristan to meet the field commanders and troops committed in the Operation Rah-e-Nijat.
During the visit, he appreciated the morale and spirit of the troops. He also lauded the swift and successful conduct of Operations.
COAS also met the displaced persons in Dera Ismail Khan Camp and appreciated their support which was crucial to evict the terrorists. He informed them that on successful completion of the initial phase of the military operations, Army will soon create necessary conditions for safe return of all displaced persons. He stated that Army will be undertaking development projects for the social uplift of the area.
Earlier on arrival in the area, the COAS was received by the Corps Commander, Lieutenant General Muhammad Masood Aslam.

PESHAWAR: Several persons injured in a blast occurred near Pusthkhara chowk in Peshawar. Police have cordoned off the area and rescue operation is underway. The wounded are rushed to hospitals. Emergency has been imposed in the local hospitals.
