Warrants issued against Shoaib Bhutta over accusing Jang

ISLAMABAD: Arrest warrants have been issued against Shoaib Bhutta, the publisher of a local newspaper, over leveling allegations on Jang Group and Geo television network, Geo news reported on Thursday morning.

According to sources, Shoaid Bhutta accused Jang Group of being partial in supporting movement of judges? restoration while, Jang Group sources had denied the allegations, terming them concocted and baseless.

Jang Group sources said, Shoaib Bhutta sought financial benefits through fabricated allegations.

Geo and Jang Group never compromised over the restoration of judges and independent judiciary, sources added.

SHO, police hurt in Charsadda explosion

PESHAWAR: Two policemen were critically injured including an SHO police in a remote control explosion occurred near a private school located in Rasheedabad area of Charsadda, the outskirts of provincial capital Peshawar on Thursday morning, Geo news reported.

According to police sources, a bomb planted on roadside near the car of SHO of Budhbir police station, went off early on Thursday morning, wounding SHO Riazuddin himself and his driver but no loss of life was repoted.

A child was also among injured persons, sources said.

Police sources said they have cordoned off the entire area and launched search operation into adjoining areas, meanwhile, wounded police personnel have been shifted to Lady Reading hospital for medical attainment.

According to bomb disposal squad, the explosives, weighing two kilograms, was planted on roadside to target police vehicle

Witnesses said the blast was intensified enough to be audible from far and wide places, which also left electricity supply line to area broken down.
