Sattar demands serious notice of Karachi target killing

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Dr. Muhammad Farooq Sattar has demanded that the President, the Prime Minister and other top officials should take serous notice of the ongoing incidents of target killing in Karachi.

Addressing a news conference at the MQM?s Center Nine Zero, he said that the people, who are involved in these heinous crimes, should be awarded exemplary punishment.

Sattar said that some 11 activists of the MQM had been killed during the last one and half month in Karachi. ?Our party is trying to maintain harmony in the city with the help of other parties, but some elements are trying to disturb the city?s peace,? he said.

To a question, a Rabita Committee member Raza Haroon said that the committees, set up to maintain law and order in the city, were performing their jobs effectively.

He, however, added that the people should also play their part in identifying these terrorists.

Munib seeks guarantee on Taliban talks
