PESHAWAR: Awami National Party has termed the signing of agreement on NFC Award by the four provinces as success of democracy.
Spokesman of ANP NWFP, Arbab Tahir Khan Khalil in a statement said the sense of deprivation of the small provinces was removed through the historic move on NFC in which, for the first time, the federation decreased its share in the resources pool.
He said the NFC Award marks a significant progress towards autonomy of the provinces.
?All the problems created by the dictatorship will be dealt with one by one and the day is not too far when terrorism will be defeated which will usher in a new era of peace and progress in the region,? he hoped.

KARACHI: President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday visited the Liaquat National Hospital in Karachi and enquired after the health of those injured in a terror attack on the Ashura procession in the metropolis ? the provincial capital of Pakistan.
Talking to the patients, the President said that the terrorists, militants and sectarian fanatics were the enemies of the people and the state and the government would not let them succeed in their nefarious designs.
The President directed the provincial government and the hospital authorities to provide best possible medical treatment to the injured.
The President expressed his profound grief and sorrow over the killing and maiming of innocent people in the purely religious gathering.
Asif Ali Zardari urged the people to donate blood and also help otherwise the victims of the tragedy. He expressed the hope that the whole nation will not only remember the victims of the mayhem and other terror attacks but also step forward and take practical steps to rehabilitate the victims and their families.
The President said that the New Year was just a day away and he hoped that the people will specially remember and spare a thought for the injured and the victims on the eve of the new year
He asked the people to observe the advent of new year with due reverence to those who have lost their lives or suffered otherwise in the senseless militant attacks in the country and to reiterate their determination to fight the militants to the finish.
