ISLAMABAD: Foreign spokesman Abdul Basit the basic aim of Friends of Pakistan (FoP) conference being held in Dubai on January 26 is to encourage the governments and private sectors of the friendly state to invest in Pakistan.
Talking to Geo News, the FO spokesman said offers will be made for investment in 100 projects of 4 different sectors during the conference beginning from Tuesday. These sectors include energy, infrastructure development, agriculture and education in social sectors.
He said vast opportunities exist in Pakistan for foreign investment and hoped to a receive an overwhelming response at the conference.
Abdul Bast said Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and his UAE counterpart will jointly preside over the moot.

KARACHI: The local equities market began the week with selling as the benchmark KSE-100 Index slipped 88 points to close at 9,689.
The market started Monday?s trade with positive numbers but see-sawed throughout the session and finished 88 points to the current level.
A total of 160 million shares exchanged hands with Lette Pakistan leading the list which gained paisas 62 to close at Rs11.38.
KSE-30 Index declined by 112 points to peg at 10,172.
