Kaira condemns Karachi terror attacks

ISLAMABAD: Information and Broadcasting Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira Friday strongly condemned the blasts in Karachi which resulted in loss of precious lives and injuries to others.

In a statement, he expressed profound condolences with the bereaved families and prayed for early recovery of those who sustained injuries in the blast. He said the terrorists were enemies of Pakistan and Islam and added it was a shameful act of terrorism, which reflects inhumane and callous nature of the perpetrators.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed souls in eternal peace and sympathized with the bereaved families.

A suspected suicide bomber on a motorcycle killed 12 Shi’ites in Pakistan’s commercial capital on Friday, followed hours later by a blast at a hospital where the wounded were being treated which killed 13 people.

Bomb recovered in Jinnah Hospital

KARACHI: Another bomb has been recovered from the premises of Jinnah Hospital here, police said today.

The bomb was planted in a TV set, which was identified by the security personnel present in the hospital.

The bomb disposal squad has been called to defuse the bomb.

It may be reminded that at least 10 people died and more than 50 sustained injuries in a powerful bomb blast at Jinnah Hospital.
