Provinces to get water as per needs: Irsa
LAHORE: The Indus River System Authority said Tuesday that all provinces would get water according to their needs after recent spells of rains.
IRSA spokesman Khalid Rana said the water level in dams has also increased to a satisfactory level following the rains.
Former director of the Farms Association, Hamid Malhi, told Geo that Pakistan was unlikely to face any food shortage this year.
He said that Pakistan was producing sufficient wheat, adding that the country was getting 5 to 10 lac ton more than its demand.
